From Heather…
As a former educator and school counselor, I am passionate about helping adolescents and adults discover hope, healing, and growth. I believe every person has a unique story, and someone's life’s experiences can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about the future.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I strive to provide ethical, compassionate, and professional care while creating a safe space for clients to be understood and understand themselves and their experiences. My approach is grounded in experiential therapies that help clients move beyond insight alone and experience meaningful emotional healing and lasting change. I specialize in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Coherence Therapy, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Basic Training. These approaches help clients process difficult experiences, develop self-compassion, strengthen emotional resilience, and reconnect with the resources that have always existed within them.
One of my professional values is to “Bloom Where You Are Planted.” I believe growth is possible even in life’s most challenging seasons. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, grief, trauma, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, self-doubt, or life transitions, my goal is to help you better understand your emotions, identify meaningful goals, cultivate hope, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. I believe healing is not about becoming someone new, but restoring what was always within. Through greater self-awareness, emotional healing, and the development of internal and external resources, clients can move toward a life that reflects who they were designed to be.
