Lacy Deese, LPC, BC-TMH

From Lacy…

My goal is to walk alongside the hurting, providing a warm and accepting environment in which they can safely set goals and move toward positive change and healing. I use a variety of cognitive and experiential theories and techniques, curated to meet the needs of each individual client. In addition, basic Biblical principles, such as fighting fear, taking thoughts captive, pressing forward amidst trials, and believing that God’s love gives us value, serve as a guide for the therapy I provide.

Lacy and her husband Kaleb live in Clinton and have three young children. While maintaining a flourishing private practice with RiverTree, she also co-teaches her children who attend a hybrid university model school and spend three days a week learning at home. As a family, they enjoy taking walks, hosting friends and family in their home, building backyard fires, and going on adventures. In addition to being a counselor, mother, and teacher, she is also a writer and has recently completed the manuscript for her first children’s book that she is taking steps toward publishing. She has also written many songs, poems, children’s musicals, stories, posts and articles and has contributed to The Clarion Ledger, The Jasper County News, Hometown Clinton magazine, and WLBT. Lacy sees her work as a counselor as a sacred privilege. She states “I am thankful for the opportunity to walk alongside the hurting as they move toward healing, growth and freedom. It is my desire to help others feel safe as they tell their stories and move toward more abundant lives.”
